Re: Arty Category
This photograph is so good:
What is it about an Atom that makes it so good to look at next to Ye Olde Worlde Walle or some other Ye Old Worlde locale?
It cannot be the mere juxtaposition of new with old. Would you get the same effect if you photographed a Koenigsegg CCX next to the same wall? A photographer with the words as well as The Eye would be welcome here.
Jacob :-)

Re: Arty Category
It IS the juxtaposition of the subject matter though. They are two such dissimilar focal points. The new with the old, the bright and colorful with the grey and bland. You pretty much covered this and yes, a Koeniggsegg or any other modern car would look just as good (assuming you liked the vehicle and they used the right color car). It's not brain surgery, just a little imagination. it's the same thing if they put an atom in the middle of a scrapyard or oil refinery. Only this time it would be the similarities.
Just my thoughts as a amateur photographer.... Don't know if I have the right "words' tthat you were looking for though.

Re: Arty Category
Make sure you get your photos in, Bruce is judging between now and the Xmas party. Like all competions you do not actually have to be at the Xmas party to win, but it helps!!Â
No seriously I am sure Bruce would be more than happy to put a prize in the post to one of our international friends and it arrives in a million piecesÂ
One last go!

Ok. On top of Mount Evans, at the ruins of the Sky House. At 14,260 feet this is the highest paved road in the continental US:
At Panamint Springs, Death Valley. Just a few miles away from the lowest point in the continental US, -282 feet:

For all those experiencing a cold winter here is something to warm ya up...
Re: Arty Category
I might be wrong, but don't the entries at least need to feature some part of an Atom?
