Jalopnik video on the Atom 4
I watched that last night.

Good video/review.
It was great to hear how impressed he was with the car, especially coming from someone who is clearly used to driving a lot of fast cars. Always a nice bonus when you stumble on a new Atom video on YouTube. :vroom:

Great video. Love watching some who really can pedal, wring the car.

Interesting what he said about quick shifting from 6th-4th; I occasionally struggle doing that in mine. Popped it in 2nd once. That was quite a moment #browntrousers

Cheers,

Nice find! I was wondering when we'd see it driven in the dry. It looks surprisingly manageable in Stig's capable hands. And a 1:16.0! Wow.

0.9s off the atom V8

I'm assuming that was the 320 version?

Nope 350.
Atom 4, Clio v6, & some other cars obviously.

If they test the quaife 350 it seems that will be faster than the v8, surely they shave off 0.9 with that box

Wow, gushing praise from Matt Prior. Fantastic to hear an experienced motoring journalist with genuine excitement in his voice, despite the appalling weather conditions. Well done Ariel.

Sounds like the Atom won’t be invited back for 2021 with all the comments about it being the benchmark etc.

Laughed at his comment about not wanting another right hand bend at Combe because he was getting soaked. Made me buy some waterproof trousers in readiness though.

Sailing salopettes are the answer for very wet drives otherwise I find water ends up getting in between the jacket and trousers. I also recommended have motorcycle gloves that go over the jacket cuffs otherwise you'll end up with a wet elbow and the waterproofing works both ways :-X
