You've got the K20 engine (a 2 litre) and the K24 (a 2.4), hence the naming convention. If you look at Atoms for sale, at least the 3.5 from what I've seen, some will have the K20 and some the K24. Yet both are always advertised as 245bhp or 310bhp SC upgrade. Is this really true? You get no bhp performance difference between the two?
I've heard the K20 offers a better driving experience in terms of power delivery and feedback, is this true? Or is this one of those "yes but in reality you won't notice the difference unless you're <insert F1 driver of choice>"? Anyone experienced both?
Assuming I'm accurate so far, what's the advantage of the K24? More options for tuning if you choose to pursue that route?
Aside: Given the Atom naming convention and the fact the 3.5 was the 3.5 as it was a chassis improvement but same engine (so couldn't be the 4), why wasn't the K24 version of the 3.5 the 4 and the latest version the Atom 5? (Yes, these are the questions that keep me awake at night)
Cheers
