Garage width

Post by Rockerfellar » Sun Dec 05, 2021 12:25 pm

Hi chaps,
Not a very sexy topic, but anyway…. My atom will be ready in March, a little worried about my garage width entrance which is 2050mm and the atom 4 being 1890, doesn’t leave much space I.e 80mm either side.anyone else Park in a similar size garage ? I know I don’t have to worry about opening doors within the garage etc. But the manoeuvring within the door gap is a slight worry

If it’s flat you can push the car in and out.

It has a Very slight incline coming up the drive. Which will be multiplied by 595kg albeit light for a car,
Still not ideal.

Hi, My garage is wider than yours but I never drive the 4 in. It’s so light I just roll it in, rear wheels first. Likewise, I just push it out. Dead easy to manoeuvre too. As long as you haven’t got a steep entrance, which might make it a bit more challenging, I think you’ll be ok. Tight, but ok.

You’ll be fine. I’ve had mine well over a year now and still get excited each time I go out in it. Done ~3K miles. It’s formidable. I’m excited for you. You’ll soon forget about the tight fit. Just make sure you’ve got a handy power supply for the battery conditioner. Sorry if that’s teaching my grandmother to suck eggs.

Yes I have, I have spec’d the battery conditioner. Yes rather excited! Got a little carried away with the spec list. But that’s life….

Push mine in and out of a standard single garage, not sure if I fancy reversing it yet. Easy to do that way though.
GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

Drive mine on and off 2m wide trailer bed …no probs so far. You’ll find it’s easier to go in forwards .

Not an Atom, but I just pull the Nomad out and push it in, it's so light. Width isn't a problem.
