ROOF BOXXER

Post by anx10us » Thu Feb 18, 2021 11:00 am

HI

Quick question for those with a Roof BOXXER Helmet, I've just had one delivered, measured correctly I think, it seems a good fit, the only issue I have is that I have to put the helmet on with the chinbar open ? Is that normal ? Its near impossible to get the helmet on or off with the chinbar down in fullface configuration. Once I have the helmet on the chinbar pulls down and it feels comfortable, so fit doesn't seem to be an issue .

I have the opportunity to swap the helmet to a larger size, any advice would be appreciated ..

Thanks

phil4

I'd always flip the chin bar up to take it on and off. Same with my Schuberth C3.

In my experience with helmets, go for the smallest one that fits comfortably - I don't know about flip helmets but as long as it's comfortable when it's on then I reckon it's the right size.

That is quite normal, you have to undo the chin section it to put it on.

Which colour scheme did you get? I love my Boxxer Carbon in yellow.

Nice - they do look good in matt black. I did the opposite and matched my Atom to my helmet!

Can you tell me what the advantage of this type of helmet over a conventional full face?

I need a helmet, but not sure what to go for, I was looking at the Bell GP3

Thanks
Andrew

Bell would be a good choice, the Boxxer is fairly unique in that it transforms easily between full face and open face, with or without visor, so with the Atom you can have the safety of head protection whilst still having an open face, then when you get to the track swap to full face ..

I also think they look pretty cool ...
