PPF in Bristol Area

Post by apr1962 » Wed Feb 17, 2021 8:35 am

Hi everyone,

My Atom 4 should be here is 6 weeks or so. I am planning to have it PPF'ed. Does anyone know of any places near Bristol that have done Atoms before and done a quality job? I've seen a couple referred to in Slough and Essex, but that's a long way from me.

Thanks
Andrew

South West Tinting near Taunton. Ask for James. He made a very good job of my Atom 4 bonnet.

First Atomised 2001.
Atom (165) > Atom 2 (220) > Atom 3 (300) > Atom 3.5 (310) > Atom 4 (350).
There is no cure.

I looked at their site, and noticed they offer remapping service. Whilst looking at options I noticed they offer a remap for the Atom 4 up to 375bhp. The first time Ive seen this offered in the UK for the Atom by someone other than Ariel ?

I'm picking up my Atom on the 5th of March and taking it to a place called Shades Wraps (https://instagram.com/shadeswraps?igshid=1n5ce5sh4m7h4) in Bristol to get my car wrapped and PPF'd. Will post how I get on and prices etc.

Thanks I’ll give them a call.

I’ve just found that the guy I use in Waterlooville has managed to get hold of the patterns. Looking at £1200 inc wings that sounds good value to me.

Thanks
Andrew

Hi apr1962 Andrew
That is a good price for PPF.
Is that xpel with 10 year warranty?
I may be interested in getting it done at this guys place if you find it any good.
I am getting nowhere near that price here in Guildford.
When are you getting yours done?
Is it possible to share details by PM.
Thanks.

Hi Sommi,
I'll check and revert. I think it is Xpel and he's very good, he's done an F Type, M4 and X3 for me and always been totally happy and I am fussy.
I believe that price includes all of the wings, bonnet, tubes, wishbones, half arches etc. I don't think it includes the satin black nose sides, is it normal to do that or are they left uncovered as they sweep backwards and therefore less susceptible to stone chips?.
My car arrives towards the end of March and I will get done as soon as its delivered assuming weather good.
Regards
Andrew

Thanks Andrew.
That would be great.
If he has done your other cars than he is obviously reliable.
I can get it done earlier as car is already here or at the same time as yours if you can get him to do prefrencial or multi buy rate.
I don't mind traveling 50 miles to save a bit on this.
I don't think the black bits are covered.
But if someone has had them done please enlighten us.

That’ll be PaintGard then, I assume? I used them (Steve) recently, wrapped the front of my 4C. Super friendly guy, does a v good job. And that is a good price for XPEL you’ve got there.

Cheers,
Hedge

Good. I’m sure he’ll do a great job.

Looks like my car should be delivered 2nd half of March (IVA booked for the 15th apparently) so won’t be far behind.

Very excited.
