Personally (and this is only my opinion, others may have a different view) I always go back to Ariel. The reason is they know the car much better than anyone and it's not just a service - anyone can do this i.e. oil and oil filter change - I plan to do this in between Ariel services. It's all the other little things that they will flag up. It's also the resale value. If Ariel see your car on a regular basis it a) stays in top condition b) any problems get fixed and c) when a buyer wants to know about your car they tend to call the factory to ask how it's been looked after.

I live 300 miles away, suggest getting a trailer. Paying companies to ferry it around gets very expensive.

For once I am conveniently located about 50 miles from the factory...

Trailers are cheap to hire...£50 per day....and many of your own hrs driving and an overnight stay!

A cover on a trailer won't work. Just let it get wet, Ariel shall give it a wash for you. Then keep your fingers crossed for the return journey. Either way, don't use a cover. It'll blow off eventually - after having caused a racket for a few miles.

Cheers,
Hedge

I would fully endorse Hedge's comments re not covering when towing using an open trailer.

If there is any cover flap anywhere you would be very likely to suffer damage to the frame powder coat, as Hedge says - just let it get wet as it rapidly dries when towing after the rain stops.

Steve at the factory specifically warned me against using a cover when towing!

But if towing with your Atom loaded facing forwards (in heavy rain) as has been previously suggested, cover the air intake and if you have the aeroscreen fitted you might also consider covering the dash - especially, again as has been previously mentioned, it you have the SPA dash fitted.

If towing with your Atom facing backwards i(again n heavy rain) I would suggest covering the dash - again especially if you have an earlier Atom with the ' less than waterproof' SPA dash.
