That's a good price. Looks like a Martz GT 400 but can't quite work out the model. The only UK dealer appears to be Am-Marc in Corby.

How are you finding it?

autobackup This is the trailer (I think GraemeW has?): https://www.tridenttowing.co.uk/trailer ... 221-p11386

£2182 - granted it's single axle without any bells and whistles but fits the Atom nicely at 2m wide and 3.7 metres long. No need to spend £5k! If I were to spend close to £5k I'd expect a closed trailer for that wonga.

Of course if you are as far as Scotland then there would need to be an arrangement to meet in England somewhere if we were to consider a club trailer. I think there are few Atom owners in Scotland to be fair.

For me it's I don't want to put unnecessary "boring" miles on the Atom just ferrying it to the factory and back all the time same goes for tracks that are miles away.

Simon

There's nothing wrong whatsoever with Graeme's trailer BUT this type is really designed for occasional use by a single owner not really for day in day out use!

- in my opinion it wouldn't be suitable as a communally owned club trailer because of the likely heavy usage and annual mileage involved.

For the club use it would really need to be a commercial quality unit to stand up to job

I've used the Honda dealer in Derby a few times for an annual service, just a quick blat down the road from Chesterfield.

autobackup Interesting. What makes a trailer designed for heavy use versus occasional use? I didn't know there was a difference. Brian James I thought made high quality trailers for heavy use.

What does a Honda dealer do during a service - given the Atom is not a regular car other than change the oil and oil filter?

Sorry Gordon to you, curious to what tyres you are considering.

Engine oil and filter and also a gearbox oil change.

I'm happy with that as a stamp in the book and checking carefully round everything else. It's not as if it's not accessible, but then I'm reasonably competent mechanically. I started using them when I lived in Derby, and a 10 minute drive to a service was much better than a long drive in the pouring rain at stupid o'clock on a Monday morning and spending a day mooching round Crewkerne before driving back again.
