What is peoples view on this? I am undecided.

Satin just doesn't feel as hard wearing to me.

Easier to pick up marks that would have otherwise buffed out on a gloss finish.

I have a satin chassis. Whilst I love the look, my next car will be gloss powder coat of some kind. Exactly as Karl says, satin can't be polished when it gets a scratch or a nick in it.

Thanks for the feedback so I have avoided satin and gone for gloss. Satin does look nice as you say though.

Badders, did you have the PPF done because of the satin colour or were you going to get it done anyway? I was thinking of going the satin and PPF route but it may be cheaper for me to just go with gloss and no PPF.

My Nomad is Satin black - it looks smart but I'd have no problem with gloss either. In fact the section i have fitted paint protection film to look gloss now - and that would be quite a nice finish, and sounds easier to touch-up.

Oh no, I'd have had it done anyway - gloss or satin. Helps protect the vulnerable bits.
