Peter, because they were testing it as the standard car which most atom buyers will get. Public service 😊. I have seen tests where they own up to the car in the pictures or test not being the spec they’re testing. Just that they didn’t do it here

I can't see them putting it on a dyno, nor being allowed to ..
Exactly. Stolen graph from somewhere and assumed the BHP.... wrong.

Having just read the report few bits to say.

The Atom 4 350 is 0.5 second slower around the track than a V8, 1m 8.4 for the V8 and 1m 8.9 for the 4. (No idea what circuit)
0-60 in 3.1 seconds with 2 up and even the reporter says it should be a sub 3 sec car.
30-70 in 4.2 seconds which is a 10th of a second slower than a 715bhp DBS Superleggera

For some reason they absolutely love the car and a 55k car that can trouble 200k supercars what's not to love and such low depreciation on top of that as well. I think the 3 year waiting list is going to grow

On the 350 cars what power levels are available via the variable boost settings?

TG stated "220bhp, 290bhp and 320bhp." on the 320 cars. What is applicable to the 350 cars?

Logic would suggest 250, 320, and 350 but it depends on the software. Or do you get 4 levels?

Can you confirm?

Cheers
3 levels of boost control on either car...

We havent measured the power in each setting, its a boost adjuster, not a power controller as such...
so not much boost in pos 1, more in pos 2 all of it in pos 3! (sorry that isnt very specific, i can probably find out what the levels of boost are?)

I dont know about the confusion between 320 and 350 in the mags, they loved the car and gave a good review... so to be honest, its a winner for us!

Thanks Henry :tu:

Its all good. I think we are all just waiting for more comparisons between 320 and 350. We have seen a number of positive 320 reviews. But no specific 350 reviews.

I think we are all looking forward for knowledgeable informed journos to give us their comparative verdict. Does the 350 make a huge difference in mid range or top end etc etc.

I can personally verify the car is now very stable and can definiely handle more power. Maybe the chassis really comes alive with a bit more power. Thats what we are all hoping to hear. Can you get Henry Catchpole to do an update mini-review on the new 350 option? ;) ;D
Atom 4, Clio v6, & some other cars obviously.

We want to see the 4 on track already!!! I can't believe there is not 1 in car video of the 4 on track. It would of been the first thing I did if I had mine, after run in of course.

HenryJS have you achieved 320 and 350HP with the car, and on which dyno etc? Is there going to be a power run published?

They had it in their final three for the TG24 thing with the AMG and the Megane....
GR Yaris CP for when it rains, Atom 4 for when it doesn’t.

Good spot. :tu: Seems to align with my thoughts in many ways. Strong engine, great suspension, improved ergonomics, but slow rack and they noted the loss of the charger noise delivery and response.

The fact that they struggled to get under 3 seconds to 60 with the 350 map is disappointing, as is weight tested as 680Kg. Thats come a long way from the much touted ~500Kg of the older cars back in the day! We are getting towards Nomad weight....
