Things to do in Crewkerne when you’re not dead...

Post by Winmoz » Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:53 pm

So, it’s one year in and time to pay Steve and his spanner spinners a visit for a service this week.

Anyone got any top tips on things to do in or around Crewkerne whilst the Atom is pampered?

I could take the laptop and work, but it’s my day off so I’d rather go and do something more enjoyable (hoping to blag a passenger ride in the 4, but guess that won’t fill all of the time).

A walk into town and back takes the best part of 1.5 hours and with a 30 minute peruse of St. Bartholomew's Parish Church, you've a 1/4 of the time in already!

I am seriously considering hopping on a train to Exeter next time I have 8 hours to kill down there. It's about an hour from Crewkerne and has a Greggs!

A friendly B&B in the heart of the Dorset countryside, about 5

Thanks Henry.

I may well take a leaf out of Karl’s book and see if I can blah a lift to station and head off to Exeter. Have a wander and then head back to the factory to see if I need to pop some money down on a 4.

Greggs offer veggie 'sausage' rolls now Winmoz.

Be very careful how you spend your deposit... And keep enough for the train ride back to Crewkerne.

So single train track aside, do you have any other excuses for a late return to Crewkerne?

http://edenloungeexeter.com

HenryJS seems to have missed this from his list of things to experience on a day trip to the factory. Otherwise, we have the makings of a very informative post, which will be a first...

That sounds good.
When you come home very late at night - you can tell a story at home that Steve have to do a night duty at your Atom AND all your money was laying on the factory table now. O0

Ask Henry before - maybe you get a preferential rate. ;D

All jokes aside, we was 2016 there at Haselbury Mill for 3 days - excellent rooms and delicious food. :tu:
Btw, don't park your car at Abbey Street aside the shirt factory - we got there a very expensive ticket after 5 minutes parking. :'(
