As of 22/01/19, 6th Gear Experience are in administration so perhaps they are having to sell off their fleet. They are selling one of their Atoms - a 2005 Supercharged 2 with 59k miles - with only 4 photos though. It has no MOT history since 2008, not surprisingly. It had a a £1 start price, with no reserve, but has already gone up to £5k as I have been typing this! Might be a good buy for someone.

Only 59k miles! :vroom:

If it has been well maintained then this maybe a bargain and would make a very good trackday car - the K20 engines go on for at least 250k miles so barely run in 8)

However as always it needs a thorough inspection at that age, mileage and experience day history

Edit: No handbrake so dodgy MOT and would invalidate any standard insurance, chassis looks later than 2005 suggests with rollover loop fitment base and side panel lugs

Depends on what it goes for but I expect it will be more than the £5k it's currently bidding at. Those engines are quite cheap so you could even replace it if its knackered assuming you get a good price for the car. It does, at least from pictures look well used, steering wheel looks polished, seats look worn. So whoever goes for it might need new seats, new steering wheel, might need painting and these are things you can see only.

couple more pictures here: https://www.6thgearexperience.com/all-cars/ariel/ What is the goldfish looking bowl on the dash?

New steering wheel is £100 from Merlin sport and is exactly the one that Ariel uses. Replacement seat is ~£800 iirc

The bowls on the dash are bubble wind deflectors which are an optional extra for mk2.

Do you mean the 2 "Bubbles" ?

This was an option prior to the Gun Sights introduction on the Atom '3'

Yes the 2 bubble looking things. They look terrible. If I had this car, I'd have to replace with the gun-sights.

That one has now been removed so I guess it has sold. Be interesting to know what it sold for but we may never know.

Someone made him an offer, he then removed it to avoid ebay fees would be my best guess. Prob ~£20k I would guess it's worth. It's very expensive to sell a car on ebay, I certainly would not do it.

It's only £15 - if classified advertisement

Auction is 1%

I've sold many cars through Ebay @ £15 a shot. Pistonheads is free if you are a long term member.

Last time I used a broker which cost me £1500 flat fee and no hassle.

Isn't it more than that? 9% I read somewhere. Could be out of date info, whenever I have sold anything on there it's always been far cheaper other ways.
