There are lots of things we need to see tbh.

I will pop down to Crewkerne sometime early next year but pictures of the optional parts would be most helpful!

I have basically no idea what the following look like. :-\

Track Day Lap Timing
Track Day Lap Timing with Brake Pressure Overlay on Video
Reversing Camera System
Towing Eye Kit Front & Rear Road/Track Day Use
Towing Eye Kit Front & Rear Race Use
Forged Alloy Wheel Set with Road Tyres
Machined Aluminium Wing Mirror Set
High-Level Brake Light
Passenger + clutch footrest
Towing Eye Kit Front (road use)
Carbon Fibre Aerofoil Front and Rear plus Mounts
Rear Fog/Reverse/Number Plate Tail Tidy
Carbon Fibre Rear Fog/Reverse/Number Plate Tail Tidy

HenryJS Can you help with the above at all? We need to see them all really. When will they be ready to view / photograph?
Atom 4, Clio v6, & some other cars obviously.

John,

I suspect you may be right. I know the prices and details are not ready yet. Any info would be greatly appreciated though. They must have some of those options ready.

Were any of these fitted to the press test cars?

I wonder if that car has the following:

Looks like it might. No idea what the stock mirrors are though.

Surely if customer cars are being delivered early next year the parts would available to see before finalising your spec. Especially seeing that the cars take so long to build, 150hrs I think.

Regarding the timing client system. Because Aims is the new dash, then the option of video will almost likely (although I am guessing) be a SmartyCam, one like this for example: https://www.aimshop.com/products/aim-sm ... let-camera

See here for overlay: https://www.aim-sportline.com/en/out-of ... lays_1.htm

Although, if this is the case for the options i.e. overlay comes in at a huge cost. I also don't understand the track day lap timing line item why this is a optional extra as Aims provide this out the box as far as I am aware with most their dash products. Will ask about all this when I visit in the spring time.

I went down to the factory and saw the car a few ago so I had a few of the same questions.
The demo car has the machined wing set, they look really nice but are smaller than standard ones, so I am going for standard ones. I prefer to see out than look good
It has the high level brake light which looks superb, the passenger + Clutch footrest and the tail tidy.

If you ask Tom or Henry nicely they will send you renderings of the wings. They look superb. The reversing camera is part of the aim dash so will just be a very small camera at the rear of the car so you wont even notice it being there. Wheels they dont know which ones they are going for yet so you will have to wait another few weeks for those as they have several options at the moment.

What I will suggest is go to the factory and speak to the guys. They answered all my questions and showed me all the options

It did have those 3 options on it as they were there when I saw the car at the factory

Have any of you guys who are very early on the list paid the chassis deposit yet?

I was only thinking that you will need to be fully sorted on spec very early in the New Year if March deliveries are likely.....

I'm expecting mine in the Summer, so have a few months at least before having to make the final decision.

Also Pete, I would recommend the 3" belts, at least for the driver as I know you do a fair bit of track work. That said, there are excellent options that don't carry Ariel logos!

Cheers,
Stu

I am early teens on the list and I am expecting delivery in March-April time. I have specked my car already but have been told that sometime within the next couple of months they will have all the options available to see and pricing to go with them. I have not paid the full additional 50% deposit yet but I am expecting a call next month to pay the deposit.

I have not yet secured the chassis, I think it's still a way off for me. I am number 20 on the list so it will be a summer delivery for me, when specifically I don't know. But I have waited so long up until now, a few more months is ok ;)

Likewise, I'm 23 on the list, so June/July delivery expected.
I just wondered if those who were sub 20 would be having to do their final spec by now.
Hopefully January will bring lots more definitive info!!
Have a great Xmas everyone and roll on 2019!!
Cheers,
Stu

I am number 19 apparently. I have beeen told ideally summer time for my car but (with good reason) Ariel have been deliberately vague. I suspect there will be a little delay due to suppliers or something. I worry it will slip into September time after the best weather has passed. :-\

Is anyone here at the top of the list going into build in Jan for Spring delivery? I was told the Jan cars have had their specs confirmed already (which is both normal and essential pre-build), but prior to a completed spec sheet. I wonder what they have gone for? Base spec and add the unknown bits later? I guess no one can have sequential yet, forged wheels etc? :H:

P.S. Stu
Not that keen on the 3inch belts. I run them for the driver on my current car. Will try them out though on the 4. :tu:

Love the sound of these dump values on the new Honda engine

What do you think? Too rice'd up? Or just cool?
