Has there been any others takers for the sports exhaust?

I’d be down for one, just the exhaust though. Going to have a custom header made. Oh, it is for a K20

@ Henry.....

If there are not enough takers to reach the magic 5..... are there any other alternatives?

Is it possible to pay a premium against the lack of numbers or are there any other alternative systems elsewhere?

Just asking as its been open now for about 7 months and would love to get the system on before the good weather comes :P

Sketch,

Yes you could pay a premium... but they are very expensive!

They are going to be in the region of £1,000+VAT each for production runs of 1.... might be slightly less at 2 x units.

lol....

Mmmmmm. Decisions decisions....

OK.... that didn't take long.

In the light of nobody else coming forward...yet... I've decided to sell a kidney and pay the extra..

Small price to pay in my opinion :o

If Polyatomic is up for it as well... we could see what the price for 2 is

I'm interested in a sports exhaust, I don't yet have my Atom, it's on order. But please put me down for one :) I do plan to track my Atom a lot and realize I'd need to take the sports exhaust for that.

Simon,

You don't need (or want) a sports exhaust for the track as it's too noisy to pass noise limits at every UK track.

You do definitely want the de-cat pipe though.

That said, it's easy to swap between normal and sports and it does make a very nice noise especially when going through tunnels!

Cheers,
Stu

Stu,

Thanks, sorry a slight typo in my message above after re-reading it. I meant I'd need to take the sports exhaust off before taking it to the track! I realize its > 100dB so as you said will unlikely pass any noise limits. But I think it would be fun to use on the road as it does sound amazing and relatively low cost compared to something like a Akrapovic for example.

How long does it take to fit the exhaust?

Cheers

No probs, just didn't want you to turn up on your first track day with it and be disappointed!

As long as you don't have a rear wing, it's 15 mins all in, even with my sausage fingers!

Stu

I do plan to put a rear wing on it at some point, not yet ordered, anything to help with more rear grip!

1. My sports exhaust has a 'buzz' @ 2500 revs when it gets hot. Detracts from the owner experience. Reported to the factory and will be expecting a replacement at the first service. Henry if you read this you need to factor in for the 2.4L batch.
2. I have the rear wing so swapping the exhaust for the track is out. I had an additional box fabricated to just add for track days. 109db down to 90db - stealth mode!

Is the buzz consistent with other owners or just a 1 off issue with your exhaust?

Who made the box to reduce the noise for use on track?

Have heard Nick's buzz and mine doesn't do it. I think it's a one-off issue to be honest.
310=325! That'll be the Presidential Remap kicking in... :vroom:
