Factory Sports Exhaust Order

Post by HenryJS » Thu Jun 01, 2017 11:59 am

Good Afternoon All,

Its that time again - to bring out the 'Sports exhaust' dicussion!

Its been a while since we did a run of these so i am keen to see what interest is like.

We have to have batches of 5 made so they are not astronomically priced.

It is possible to make the Sports Exhaust for a 2.0L Engine and the 2.4L engine.

There must be an order for 5 units of each type to get the go ahead. But we dont need 5 units of both types.

The cost is £650+VAT for non polished, and £750+VAT for polished.

Once we have reached the 5 number we can get ordering and it will be around 6 weeks from the date we order them.

Please register interest below! Or ask questions!

All the Best

Henry

These are well worth it.

I recently switched to the normal exhaust for a track day, and found it both too quiet, but moreover found the droning noise a fair bit annoying, and I was only driving 6 miles!.

The sports exhaust was back on as a matter of priority on my return.

You owe it yourself :)

I had the last one from the previous batch, and I must say it's epic. When you're driving at low speeds around town, it is very quiet, like the standard exhaust. But when you open the taps, it really howls and sounds incredible. An added bonus is you don't need to polish the sports exhaust either, as it doesn't tarnish. One of the best upgrades I've bought my Atom. And makes the car sound like it always should have.

Hi Ed,

Chris Wood posted a rather good video of his new exhaust a while ago:

I'll need to take a look in the morning as to how easy it is to swap the exhaust between stock/ sports.  I live in N. Cal and do 90% of my track day at Sonoma Raceway and once/twice a year at Laguna Seca, which has this ridiculous db limit of 92 db.....  prior to owning my AA3 300, I hadn't been back on Laguna Seca for more  than 15 years, as none of my car would pass sound.  With the stock exhaust, the AA has no problem there.  The sports exhaust would sound great while not on track, though...

As I found the other day, a doddle.  I'm no mechanic, but with a spanner and 10 minutes, it's a one man job.  5 bolts to undo/redo, and the exhaust even hangs in place with them all undone, so no tricky balancing job.
