At last a product that restores the tub and seats

Post by Northnoble » Wed May 10, 2017 11:40 am

At last...a product that restores both the tub and the seats.

After numerous attempts and after buying product after product I had almost given up trying to "restore" my tub and seats. Then when reading an old post about a detailing company that worked wonders on a very neglected Atom I decided to hunt down the product they used. When I found the product, the tight Scotsman in me decided £45 was just too much.....but then after a bottle of red wine I pressed the buy-it-now button.

OMG, this stuff is amazing...seats and tub look like new. So impressed with the trial area that I actually took the seats out to do the job properly!?...OMG, what a lot of stones, bits leaves etc were under there!!

Can not recommend this product highly enough!!

Looks great!  What sort of dilution did you use?

I prepared a dilution of 250 ml dressing with 250 ml water (1:1) - wanted a glossy but not wet look finish

The 500ml was enough to do the tub, the seats and all the black plastic on my other track toy...the R53 Mini!

a US Gallon of the stuff is going to out last my cars!!!

It's a silicone-based 'dressing' ..

It fills the minor surface cracks/abrasions and presents a smooth surface whose gloss depends on how dilute and how much you apply and rub/buff off afterwards before it dries.

The dressing is very liquid.....but I did apply it with a brush, waited 10 mins and then buffed with a microfibre cloth.

And the magic was done......

Sounds a little like the Autoglym green Bumper gel. Always found that good if applied generously, left to soak then buffed off the residue.

Actually, what I really need is more of a rubberised matt paint to give the seat a finish without all the scratchmarks that are on it currently.
