Thanks Andrew!

Steve: Indeed this is perfectly normal. After spending 10 hours driving through France this year with the missus in the passenger seat (and even on the lovely smooth French Peage motorways) I thought I would be able to have a rest when we arrived at our destination, this was not to be. However i did find the workout* a great way to wind down from a 450 mile blast. I highly recommend it.

Any photos submitted will be immediately and indiscriminately posted to facebook, this of course is for 'brand awareness' and to try to connect with the opposite sex - broadening our reach and there fore bridging the gap between the molecules of Atoms, tribes of Nomads and hands of Aces, creating an all new compound... He says with his marketing hat on  :vroom:

But on a serious note if any one has any Nomad pictures they are willing to submit for the manual that would be great. I remember one that was on track, possibly black chassis, blue panels, Ohlins dampers that looked pretty good!

For us it was the Utility room or an Atom.  I got the order in first.  Maybe, in time, she will come to see the Atom has other benefits also?  :roflp:

Good evening Henry

I have owned an Atom 3, 300 (2011 reg) for just over 1 year. Have done around 2500 miles including 3 track days last one being late October. Had a ride out last weekend (dry roads but cold) then parked the car back in the garage. Moved/pushed the car forward a couple of days ago and noticed a coolant leak passenger side rear in front of rear axle on garage floor. seems to be below flexy pipe but no dampness or contamination around pipe or hose clips or around the water pump towards driver side.
Any ideas please

"They all do that sir."

Nothing to worry about. Pretty standard fare over the winter when resting up.
Happened on my 2 and my 3. But not yet on the 3.5.

Why would they leak, if there's no hole?

Mine did it too. I just tightened the jubilee clip a little, not leaked since.

Mine leaked where the hoses connect to the pipes, tightened a bit but still leaking.. Two jubilee clips on each connection sorted it.

Hi petrolhead:

It seems you have the answers up there ^^^ Unfortunately it is a case of some do some don't.

to combat this problem (until we moved to a silicon hose) we use a high torque Jubilee clamp.

They are £2.25+VAT each.

You're going to regret popping up on here Henry !  ;D

Is there any chance that modifications to the various models could be published here perhaps in the Clubroom.

For example,

"June 2010 (say) Silicon Water Hoses introduced to replace Rubber to alleviate coolant leakage around jubilee clips under certain adverse conditions."

John,

It's not a problem - I can answer technical questions here as i think there is a tendency to shy away from 'bothering' the factory!

Its around mid 2011 that the first silicon hose was used in this area to combat this issue. Please feel free to update the model history!

As long as a change isn't security-related, I can't see why this info couldn't have a section on the new ariel.club website? Or is it really too sensitive for that?
