Atom/Nomad/Ace pictures
Just had a look around the forum only discover there are no up-to-date photo threads. Kozy posted a picture recently into an old thread so lets start a new one which is undated. Once the website is redone, we'll create a better area for this I'm sure.
Anyway for now, he's my starter for 10. Kozy add yours back in....
Chaps, can we peg this?

Here's a couple I got at Le Mans this year, just after the race.

Re: Atom/Nomad/Ace pictures
Stickied Alex ..
We used to have a photo gallery on the old forum, but it was quite old and didn't get properly integrated and migrated when we moved ..
Ideally, this could be addressed and the forum structure re-jigged to accommodate a photo gallery, the new Nomad and ACE sections.
One problem at the moment is the forum hosting these photos. Occasionally, you can't post new ones because the disk space has been filled. On the other hand, externally hosted photos tend to disappear when users don't renew their hosted services etc.
There is a photo competition section but this appears to have fallen into disuse ..

I assumed space would be an issue on the host John but thought it was worth a temporary resurrection! Also to be addressed when the website is looked at. It would be good to have an area for the photos which can be easily viewed, and more importantly easily uploaded with an auto-sizer in place to stop the 500kb nonsense.

John
Rather than worry about server space how about considering Pogoplug i.e. storing any photos in the cloud with a link in the Atom Forum
Pogoplug details https://pogoplug.com/cloud?
To give you (and other members) an idea on how photos look in Pogoplug here is an 'open' link to my Pogoplug cloud (video can also be uploaded)
http://ppl.ug/f8Nr1g8yDas/
Pogoplug folders can be either 'Open' or 'Closed' (secure) - however if the Pogoplug Folder link is in the Clubroom it would be 'semi' secure!
I will leave the above link to my Pogoplug cloud open for a week or so so that anyone who wants to can have a look!

Re: Atom/Nomad/Ace pictures
This may be an area where the new Chairman needs to do some work?
At the top of the page, next to the forum tab is one marked 'Photos.'
This was always intended to form a huge gallery of owners' photo's.
But, as it ever was, folk just seem to login to the forum only and ignore the other options along the top line, such as news.
Ans so the website as a whole becomes static and stale.
There's more to Atomclub than just the forum people.
Rob.

Re: Atom/Nomad/Ace pictures
There HAS to be a better way of posting pictures than either resizing them for the forum, or sending them in... (see pic from main site)
Can we not strap on a photo uploader button on the main site? We used to have LOADS of photos on the original site...

Agreed, Bruce.
As an IT luddite I don't care/know how or where to do it, I was just pointing out that we ought to do better with our photo's.
There are only 13 pictures in the photo section!
