BULK BUY - 5 spoke wheels

I've been looking for an alternative, lightweight option to the Dymag wheels at an affordable price.

Having looked further I can see that an identical thread was started back in September 2013 - http://www.atomclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,14762.msg261073.html#msg261073

The wheels are Rota Slipstream's and Rota have said that if I could get commitment for a minimum of 10 sets (4 wheels) they would manufacture a small run of wheels.  These would come drilled to the correct PCD's, can be supplied in the right offsets, and come in 15" & 16" options for the front and rear - http://www.rarerims.co.uk/wheelshop_products.asp?productid=11&rangeid=1&product=Slipstream

The wheels are heavier than the Dymags:

15" x 7" Front (each): 5.61kg  (TD wheel equivalent:  6.2kg)
16" x 8" Rear (each): 7.81kg  (TD wheel equivalent (for 16" x 7"):  7.4kg

However, they are significantly cheaper than Dymags at around £515 per set delivered, representing a saving of around 13% off the standard website pricing and cheaper than the previous price quoted in the thread above of £560.

They have offered to make them in two colour options so I would suggest Steelgrey and Flat Black.

IF these wheels are going to be custom made for us and drilled is it possible to not have the additional holes in the wheels... the four elongated ones beside the stud holes...Like the 17x7.5 Flat Black version?

Hi Meladdo,

Yes, we can have the wheels drilled with just the four fixing holes and not the other universal holes.  It'll look a lot better though will add some weight, but would think that negligible.

van man - I've spoken to the UK importer and the lead time from order being placed is 2-3 months.  This is because the wheels will need to be custom made to the correct offset and factors in shipping.

I would be interested Ben in a set of these, They do look the part and in reality for me affordable and a little more robust than the magnesium ones. For road or Track use they are ideal. The Magnesium alloys are a nice addition to the Atom for sure but out of my reach price wise to be honest..
