If I'm honest mate without looking online I couldn't be sure. My original IAT sensor was fitted by Ariel when I had my 3.5R conversion done. I have since changed the sensor for a different type which I could dig out details of but the cutting of the wires on the original harness was already done by Ariel. Although I'm fairly sure it only uses 2 wires.

IAT Sensor arrived today at a cost of 77+ ouch; only a 10 quid on ebay. Anyway it's here and I have the snap ring for the drive shaft. Hope the driveshaft don't pop out again, dropping gearbox oil over the rolling road. Revs of Horsham will get it ready for collection Tuesday evening, relocating the Meth injector and I the IAT sensor to the inlet manifold and then hopefully back on the rolling road and mapped for Wednesday. Ready for Donington ;D

Assuming all goes well with the mapping then it should be this friday. Booked with RMA:

Also want to say a big public thanks to IanG , he sacrificed his Flashpro as the wrong one was ordered for me and he knew I was getting my car on the track for the 6th. Thanks again buddy.

Loving this project. As a newbie to Atom ownership I can foresee me following a similar path !

I think it's also important to also show where we screwed up to save others the ballache. Hope it helps others with their upgrades.

IAT sensor added now into the inlet manifold. Used the two cables from the MAF Sensor:
Following cables were relocated from MAF to the new IAT sensor in the inlet manifold:
SG1 = Green/black (GROUND)
VCC1 = Red/yellow (5 VOLT from ECU), Range 0.1 to 4.0 volt, Circa 1.8 volt @ normal running temp
MAP wire remains redundant = Green / red

This will allow the tuned map take into account proper intake temps as the air is charged, as opposed to the ambient temp.

Meth injecter has also been relocated to the inlet manifold. As I previously mentioned, injecting meth pre-charger will end up losing power and that is fact and tested on the dyno. Meth has to be injected post charger, directly into the inlet manifold.

So another bad day on the dyno, once again the drive shaft popped out the diff/gearbox. So I knew I had some fundamental issue. Got it back to investigate and found the inner CV joint is shot. We could see some metal fragments in the joint, which you can kind of see in the grease as shiny metal. Also see the actual house has been severely scored on the inside. So Donington now all depends on wether or not I can source a new inner CV joint TODAY :'( :'( :'(

Does anyone know if the inner CV joint is a standard Honda Type R FN2 part? I assume it has to be as it marries into the Honda gearbox/diff.

Ps: managed to get a pull on the dyno before my Atom decided to throw gearbox oil over the rollers, so I do have a safe map at least. Pulled 326bhp but could not do any real tuning.

For reference, the Atom does NOT use a Civic Type R inner CV joint:

The shaft feeds into a 24 teeth shaft / bearing, as seen in the pic below:

Whereas the standard Type R has a 32 Teeth shaft / bearing (see below):

obviously the diff/gearbox side is standard 27 teeth (see below):

So, I just got off the phone to Atom, ordered the Nomad Drive shaft with new out inner joints as they do not sell the joints on there own and organised same day delivery (200 quid), install tonight and determined to get on track tomorrow ;D ;D ;D
