tyres ,what are you guys running

Hi Guys,

I recently asked this question on Facebook atom and got some great reply's, i run a 3.5 SC atom currently running ZZS all round and they have been great, as you all know Avon have stopped doing Motorsport tyres now.

Looked at various options of brands, car is only used on the road in dry weather very spirited road use.
looked at Yokohama AD 08RS and AD502 one member stated the 502s are brilliant however they tend to pickup a ll the chippings going and fling them everywhere is this mainly when they are hotter from track use or road as well? any other suggestions of track / road tyres welcomed.

I’ve just switched to A052s and they’re a revelation. I understand why everyone has been banging on about them. I’ve not noticed a particular problem with pick up so far but I guess like any sticky tyre, when they get really hot they’ll pick up anything. Totally worth it though!

Since we're talking about t[i|y]res here, what pressures do you guys run? The AA3 owner's manual says 20 & 17 PSI, but that seems low for street use. (Track it makes sense).

When I first put the AO52s on my Atom 3, I tried them at the factory pressures and the car was insanly darty on the road. Recommendation from other owners was to try 12 front 14 rear and that's been perfect - so much better. Calmed the handling down and just so much more grip everywhere.

Street. Not tracked it on AO52s yet but that's happening in a few weeks.

Thanks guys for your replies on tyres!!!! what pressures are you all using on an Atom 3.5 SC on ZZS or Toyo R888 ? currently running ZZs at 19 psi rear and 17 fronts very skitty road use only.
