Re: Spring rates and shocker settings
Welcome to the Atom world Razelle
What a good question.
I am also a Newbie having owned my 3/310 since November 2015.
Bilstein suspension fitted (not sure if this is standard fitment) and not sure how it should be set up
Is stiffer ride obtained from higher number on dial etc.

Re: Spring rates and shocker settings
Bilstein's are standard, AFAIK when you wind them up and down it increases/decreases both compression and rebound. Not sure what the standard spring rate is, but a few say on the road the standard setup is pretty good. If you are tracking the car then look to Ohlins or Intrax, both of which will give you whole weeks of opportunity to learn about suspension setup

Thanks for that Reg helps me out stacks
Hope that helps you out Razzele and I am sure you will get more response.
I also like your new feed on adjusting the gas pedal to facilitate heel and toe
(a technique I am eager to master).

Re: Spring rates and shocker settings
I was more wondering about the actual settings people are using and the actual springs installed.
For instance, my atom has these fitted. I presume they are bilsteins but look a lot like nitrons to me.

They have Eibach springs on them and you can see a set of numbers describing the length/width and spring tension.

So as you can see on my car it has 180/60/50 up front and 180/60/60 on the rear. Which translates to equal length and width (180x60mm) with a differing spring rate. The fronts being 5kg-mm (or 280lb-in) and rears being 6kg-mm (or 336lb-in)
Is that what everyone else has fitted or are there different spring rates being used for different applications?

The best thing you can do for most things is call the factory

Yes, they are the 10 way adjustable Bilsteins option with helper Spring (or tender Spring !)
1 is softest, 10 is hardest.
The Spring rates you have are the standard rates for the Atom 3.

Ring the factory in the UK and they will confirm this.Guido Portogallo wrote: ↑Tue Apr 13, 2021 3:47 pm Just fitted adjustable shockers .... Can anyone tell me what the settings should be ... Ie ride height ... Etc
