Front wing template???
Front wing template???
How the hell do you use the front wing template to cut out the nose cone?? Where do you position etc..
It's for a genuine Ariel front wing.....I take it that wont matter?

Re: Front wing template???
Not sure what you're asking here?
You have an Atom '3' right?
Sounds like you have an Ariel front wing.
Does the car already have the front tow hook option? As well as providing a mounting screwed socket for the tow hook, it also offers the mounting for the front wing brackets.
I wasn't aware that there was a need to cut away any material from the nose cone, unless the tow hook option wasn't specified at build time.

Re: Front wing template???
I have an ATOM 3 that did not have the nose cone cage fitted from factory.
I was under the impression that I needed to cut or scallop out some of the material on the nose cone so that either the front wing or cage would fit properly? There's a template to cut it for something!

Re: Front wing template???
Found this on the skunkwurx site...
Now my question.
Is the bottom of the nose cone where his thumb is? Want to make sure i orientate the template the correct way round?

Re: Front wing template???
So is it a Skunkwurx cage?
They claimed their design was stronger than the factory item that reduced droop/twist, so it may be slightly larger.
I can't advise which way their template goes as it's not clear from that photo.
Someone on here has likely done this before and can advise?

Well I was going to buy the factory cage as its a factory front wing (to make sure it fitted ok) but I didn't know anything about droop or twist? Now I'm not sure...

No need to worry, the factory item is just fine!

You can download or view the template here, the orientation should be clear:
https://www.skunkwurx.co/ariel-atom-par ... -wing.html
The cut-out size for both ours and the factory's bracket is the same. The design changes for the strengthening were done on the wing side, not the bracket. The brackets/wings are interchageable.
Re: Front wing template???
Thanks guys. Henry contacted me directly and sent me all the details / pics I needed. Once again impeccable customer service from the factory.
Hammid, thanks I got the template off your site last night. I sent you a mesage on FB.
