Re: 3.5, strange acceleration issue at 100mph+

If you are a club member you could perhaps borrow the club catalyst for testing if this option still exists. (?)

Re: 3.5, strange acceleration issue at 100mph+

Did you perhaps check the oil level?
If the oil level is too low, VTEC will not be activated.

Re: Changing tyres

No worries, I understand your opinion and point of view and basically I follow the factorys recommendations. With a hydraulic jack you cannot reach the jacking point I use on the image above because it is too close to the wheel. So "not recommended" in this particular example could also me...

I agree, this is not the jacking position as in the handbook.
However I cannot imagine any reason, why this would upset the geometry.(?)

Due to cobblestone pavement a common hydraulic jack unfortunately was not usable for me, but I am quite happy with a scissor jack.
Mine is only 82mm high and due to the little weight of the Atom it handles very well and quick.

Re: Dream Car

I am afraid the factory may not be able to help with German TÜV. At present there is no option to have the approval done by the local Ariel dealer, most probably not even at any TÜV site which are not experienced in Atoms. Those 2 Atoms had different specs. One was very basic with almost no added op...

Re: Upgrade for 240mm Standard Brakes Atom 2 - 3.5

Referring to the Alcons the only alternatives I could find are the different versions from Skunkwurx and Komo-Tec would provide some on request. I was told they are the same like on 996 or 997 GT3 apart from the dimensions obviously. However they are quite expensive.

Re: Power Loss during VTEC transition

This is a Dyno graph with original Honda setup. It is taken from a K20A2, not a K20A like in the Atom, but should look almost the same. (So I was not 100% correct with my last reply.) I remember, that at least the supercharged Atom 2 275 had an MBE ECU, which setup was not the best. I do not know ab...

Re: Power Loss during VTEC transition

Looks a bit strange.
From my experience at original (Honda) setup the power increase is quite flat before the VTEC, but its not like the power would really go down.
Also the max torque should be at about 200Nm(+).

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?

I may be wrong though, if you have LiFePo battery.
Then 14.3V would be in the range.
A normal battery in good condition would be about 12.4 to 12.8V.

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?

I would also tend to a flat battery.
Perhaps your gauge is not correct.
14,3V sounds quite high and is almost charging voltage.
