SOLD - Ariel jacket for sale

FS: Ariel jacket, red, size small. I've had this a couple of years. Literally never used it, been hung indoors. I think the guy I bought it off used it as much as I did. I can't remember when these date back to. I seem to recall Bruce (Fielding) being involved in the design? Maybe, maybe not. Anyway...

Re: Atoms for sale - information thread

In my SC Atom, I never once saw double figures on a track - especially on a long one like Bedford. I was always 8/9 mpg.

Re: 1st track evening - Scary but fun!

If - & it's quite a big pair of ifs - you can afford one & are able to store it where the car is - then trailers are a vv good idea. Sometimes, the thought of driving home after a day at the track was enough for me to curtail my time at the track. And that's without the vagaries of the Engli...

You seem to have a lot of Atom stock for sale. Are you an authorised Ariel dealer?

Re: Atom 4 fuel gauge

I've had 4 Atoms, 1 Nomad & 1 Ace - & never known how to reset the fuel gauge on any of them - so "perhaps" I'm not the best person to opine on this ;D

Ha! You're right, don't think there is a reset button. I always used to just remember what it was on.

Re: Atom 4 fuel gauge

Depending on whether you turn left or right on a roundabout, the fuel gauge can vary from -5l to +25l.

I'd reset the trip each time you fuel. On road, top up every 170/ 180 miles or so? On track, every 100 (or less). Depends on your style of driving, for each.

Re: First track day coming up

One word of advice: don't get freaked out by people passing you. They probably shall. Many see the Atom as a target, almost a badge of honour to pass. In your initial days of learning the car, you'll inevitably find one of two drivers like this & you'll climb out the car afterwards wanting to sh...

Re: Donington GP trackday 30/04/2021

They really are reasonable to run on track, just as you say. It's pretty much pads & tyres & that's it. As long as you look after it/ do the sensible things (cooling down periods etc) you'll get a ton of laps out of them. No engine rebuilds every 5k, either.
