Re: Project - Track Focused Atom 3
Also, removing the water/oil exchanger under the oil filter and replacing it with a thermostatic oil plate with oil cooler (see my adverts) helped reducing engine coolant temps and engine oil temps on track. This water/oil exchanger helps you heating the oil when the engine is cold, but it heats the...

Re: Project - Track Focused Atom 3
Hi, last year i converted an Atom 2 220 to 350bhp with a Rotrex supercharger and no Intercooler, only water/meth injection kit with regular ron98 fuel. If you need some data about IATs i got on track during hot summer day (35°c outside), which ignition timing i used, which boost, ..; let met know, h...

Re: Bike engines
Had a MK indy with a 1000cc and like 180bhp and an Atom with the K20A N/A with 220bhp, they were totally different, the MK needed to be used between 9k and 12k rpm on track, with the reliability of a bike engine on a heavier chassis used always at high RPM / high load, where the atom was used betwee...

Re: Aquaplaning on track
I use my atom with R888R on track and dry roads,
and when using it on rain or winter, i like the AD08R tires,
dry grip is 90% of a R888R, and wet grip is so much better, not as good as a road tyre like a Rainsport, but acceptable.
R888R on wet road is scary

Re: Atom 4 emission standard
Speaking of getting it registered elsewhere.. how is the EU homologation coming along? I may have missed if there were some updates. Cheers. I have a 4 on order, For me Co2 is very important to get it registered, so I’m gonna need type approval. Tom tells me they will decide wether or not they are ...

Re: Super hero or zero
I was sure my big alcon front and sport brakes rear were sufficient ... until i tried another atom with big alcon front & rear : so i bought the big Alcon rear kit, this made a huge difference, really. You feel what's going on, you feel the car sitting on the back when you apply brakes, really t...

Re: New Project 3.5 360bhp
If you don't want the sidepods, but want serious power, you may consider the Water/meth injection system, to reduce IATs and be more knock resistant. I'm running a Rotrex on a stock K20A (the JDM one, with the high CR) in my Atom, without Chargecooler or intercooler, only spraying watermeth past 8PS...
