Re: 'Afternoon from Sunny Somerset

Hi K20A2 Not a problem at all for the help - it's why we are here! It's mainly that we have a deep understanding of the Atom and what needs changing, sometimes it will be a tiny adjustment, sometimes it will be a big adjustment, sometimes lots of parts need changing. I don't think a local workshop c...

Re: Atom chassis powder coat question

Advice: Label EVERYTHING. i didnt when i rebuilt a landrover on my own, regretted that. When youve got it stripped apart, give us a ring her...

Re: 'Afternoon from Sunny Somerset

John,

It's not a problem - I can answer technical questions here as i think there is a tendency to shy away from 'bothering' the factory!

Its around mid 2011 that the first silicon hose was used in this area to combat this issue. Please feel free to update the model history!

Re: 'Afternoon from Sunny Somerset

Hi petrolhead:

It seems you have the answers up there ^^^ Unfortunately it is a case of some do some don't.

to combat this problem (until we moved to a silicon hose) we use a high torque Jubilee clamp.

They are £2.25+VAT each.

Re: Considering building new dampers, need advice

PeR4, Having never been to the Nurburgring, but having listened in on many a conversation about set up - I have been told the Nordschleife is very bumpy and struggles if set up too hard. Im sure someone with more experience may be able to help with that question. Setting the car up softer in this in...

Re: Considering building new dampers, need advice

Hi PeR4 It can be shimmed to how you like it, it you would like it harder that is no problem. We also offer harder springs as well. The rear springs can be moved to the front, and a firmer spring fitted to the rear. If you want it to be harder again i recommend fitted a very lightweight assister spr...

Re: Considering building new dampers, need advice

PeR4: great to hear you have upgraded to the needle roller bellcranks, you'll feel a huge difference with these alone! Remember to grease them a couple of times a year (especially if its wet a lot when you're driving) to keep them running super smooth. I would recommend Silkolene Pro RG2 grease. RE ...
