Re: 700 miles in a Nomad
Thanks! Also being originally of Yorkshire persuasion, that works much better, and is 20L bigger too! Win win. I have a Mountain Equipment waterproof bag, which is extremely tough and waterproof and is slightly more suited to my Yorkshire sensibilities cost-wise... https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/p/...

Re: 700 miles in a Nomad
Thanks for the advice Rich - Will definitely pick up some of those trousers, and that bag looks like a good storage solution too, but its not cheap is it! I just bought a metal storage box I'm going to try to mount behind the seats, then try and get a spare wheel on behind it.

Canvas roof
Hi all, I'm going to get a canvas roof made for the Nomad to keep the sun off for Euro-trips etc. Before I reinvent the wheel, has anybody already done it successfully and got advice about where to go for it / what works well etc? Something like the one Art (Mud Nomad) had would be perfect, but I th...

Re: 700 miles in a Nomad
Looks amazing fun! I'm driving mine to Spain / Portugal in June, so any advice about things that help with traveling would be welcomed. Going to try and sort something for luggage carrying, but your roof rack looks mega!

Re: Potential Nomad Turbo
Will be outsourcing - there are a couple of really good local performance car specialists will will be able to do a great job. The main goal will be getting it done as well as possible and keep it reliable.

Re: Potential Nomad Turbo
Thanks. Although the factory like the idea, they confirmed they wouldn't sell it, as it's not standard. I think I'm going to go for it anyway - You only live once right!

Re: Potential Nomad Turbo
Thanks for the reply. I do worry a little as I don't tend to keep cars for very long, but maybe this will be the one that gets under my skin and becomes a long termer... As you say, turbo on the K24 is tried and tested, and I think without going for high numbers it should be able to be mapped to be ...

Potential Nomad Turbo
Hi all, I'm new to the Nomad, and was planning to supercharge an NA car. The issue is there is a 3+ month lead time to get it done at Ariel, and I am impatient (and also have a Euro trip coming up). I've been speaking to Steve at the factory about potentially turbo'ing it. I don't think anyone has d...
