Re: Atom 4 - Build and Collection

I have no connection to them. But I've used one of their covers for 12 years. They're well made.

Re: New Long Trip... Luxemburg to Faro to Galicia to lux...

We've parked Atoms in several car parks around northern Spain. Usually just outside the hotel we are using. With a car cover on, they attract very little attention.

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

Allowing for inflation, the 30bhp gain costs half as much as the 60bhp gain from the supercharger on an Atom 2 or 3. Whilst you get less ‘metal’, the costs are proportionate. I think you can spec a great car for £56-57k. Above that are purely personal choices. Buy what you love, and you won’t go wro...

This is worth a read, Xavier. The Sportugal trip in 2017. Some nice hotels and roads in Graeme's planning, later in the thread.

Best colour. Best wheels. And a really comprehensive spec. Should sell very quickly.

I think Ariel still offer a spacer for the steering wheel.

Re: Coronavirus - COVID19

Good idea. I could drop some tinned milk and a bag of toffees round to old Nick Mason.

Re: Looking to repeat...

I’d have a few questions: 1. Why is it advertised as a 3.5 when it doesn’t seem to be one? 2. How many owners has it had? 3. Who did the servicing? 4. Why does the interior look like it’s had more than 7000 miles use? It looks a bit rough inside. There is definitely a story behind it, and not necess...

Re: Coronavirus - COVID19

I think the problem is best addressed like this: "What if everyone thought and acted like me? What would be the likely outcome?".

I'm not making a judgement. Just posing the question.

As long as you do it in period clothing, it's fine.

Yup. Thruxton closing the circuit is the official end of Ariel 150.

Re: 150 Years of Ariel Festival

You can still passenger at Thuxton, Preseh. There will be plenty of experienced drivers that won't mind taking you out. And you'll have access to the Landie 4x4s on the offroad circuit (I think I'm right in saying, check with Tom at Ariel).

Re: 150 Years of Ariel Festival

For the sake of clarity – Thruxton is not JUST a track day. Thruxton don’t normally include breakfast, lunch, skid pan, the 4x4 course or an auto-test.

I'm assured Ariel are subsidising the day, as the club did for Castle Combe back in 2015.
