Re: What Ohlins settings are you running on the road?
It does seem strange that the recommended rebound setting is the same for both road and track use? I'm pretty sure that isn't the case for the 4.

Re: "Normal" tyres ? No slicks etc.
The Atom 4 will always be "understeery" when pushed...so that's no exemption...you'll need to direct the nose with the input from the rear. "Good" tires will make your life easier... I disagree. Subtle geo changes combined with optimal tyre pressures and damper settings can tran...

They'll be just fine. Just stick to a decent brand. Maybe a PS4 or something like that.

Nice upgrades, and very reasonable price. I'm personally a big fan of the windscreen.

Re: Help required.
Is it possible/likely that the manual box in the 4 is any different/stronger than was used in the 3? I would be extremely surprised if the 6sp in an AA4 is any better/stronger than what was in my AA3 (with 425bhp). It’s still just a K20/K24 (same bellhousing). In the pic, you’re looking at what is ...

Re: AA4 ECU flash for water temps
I've checked it on one car and post re-flash it was registering 2-3dec C below actual. Make of that what you will.....MrPoseidon wrote: ↑Fri Aug 18, 2023 12:29 pm Has anyone actually checked the water temp independently to confirm the readings ?

Re: AA4 ECU flash for water temps
10 Atom 4's at Spa and Zolder last week. None overheated and some of them are being driven really hard. Issue is certainly resolved. I think you're largely correct in terms of "overheating" per se, although I do hope they take the opportunity with the 4R to do something about the operatio...

Re: Help required.
Remember the sequential is stated by Ariel as "Track Use Only - No warranty". It is not made for road use and servicing sequential for road use might be problematic and costly. We don't know how the clutches and gears will last yet on the sequential 4s. They are not smooth so would likely...

Re: Help required.
It's worth remembering that the sequential box is proper motorsport gearbox characterised by a barrel selector mechanism and "dog" gears (ie no synchromesh). Perfect for the track, but conventional wisdom would suggest that they are really hard work if the car is predominantly used on the ...

Re: Oil pressure warning lights
For what it's worth, there is some evidence to suggest that oil pressure can drop, albeit briefly, on sharp left handers taken at speed ie as on track. At the very least I'd try overfilling the sump by at least 1/2ltre.

Re: Brakes Pads for Atom 4 AP track bias brakes
I am using my AA4 on trackdays only with Ferodo DS Uno, it's a very good setup and not too hard on the rotor Feel is also a lot better than stock mintex (which are crap) ! If you are afraid of locking the rear wheel you can go for something less agressive on the rear like DS2500 All I've ever heard...

Re: AA4 ECU flash for water temps
Hello everyone, I was able to test last week my AA4 at a trackday at Mettet in Belgium with the new ECU flash from the factory It seems that the overheating that made the car unusable for heavy trackday usage is gone! Here the video of my best laps performed after several other laps, outise temp is...

Re: Brakes Pads for Atom 4 AP track bias brakes
Hi A4 is going for service shortly for brakes to be sorted and heating issue and other things. What pads are people running on the AP track bias brakes? Factory mentioned Ferodo pads front and rear £160 each a set. Sent from my SM-N986B using Tapatalk Pagid RS14s seemed to be greatly favoured over ...
