Re: Newbie with loads of Atom questions

To add to my comment above. The Caterham 620r's come with a dry sump system. Why ariel atoms dont even come with just a baffle sump, ariel which is suppose to be a road legal track day car is beyond me.

Re: Newbie with loads of Atom questions

Why a baffled sump isnt a standard item like the caterham 620r's always confused me.

A drop in baffle is sub £200 for the k20. Its just the access/labour thatl be high.

Not necessary but piece of mind for a track focussed car.

Which Aero kit is that? I think it really changes the look of the car.

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

The Ariel's are fantastic toys, the reason why most of us are here. Its just the pricing is starting to head into the supercar territory. Not the performance bargain it use to be. One thing is for sure, these cars do seem to hold their value well, at the same time you often see the same cars up for ...

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

Saying nobody has an issue with the price of a GT3 compared to a base model 911, really??? Thats trash. Its two different cars. GT3 you get a completely different engine to begin with for your money, high powered n/a that is. Not a 30bhp £3k remap. Then the carbon seats, titanium cage, magnesium whe...

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

I really do have to agree with phil4 and reg. The Atom4 options list prices, some items are shockingly high. The Atom3 and 3.5 seemed like very well specced cars for the money, but going through the optioned Atom4 and the cost it came to has me reverted back to a Atom 3 or 3.5 and have a 400bhp turb...

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

I remember caterham Owners use to have issues with the quaiffe box and reverse gear selection. Hope its better in the Atom.

Iirc caterhan has moved away from quaiffe, unsure what the reason for that is thoh.

Re: Project - Track Focused Atom 3

Its Interesting to see the above tyre pressures and suspension settings. Compared to "normal" road going cars.

As an example on my cup2's on my M3 Michelin recomends 36psi hot. Probably due to Atom veing so light lower pressures are recommended.

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

Just seen TDI north do a turbo kit for the atom 2 and 3 for £9000, drive in and drive out. It can put out 400bhp, but the actual kit is capable of a lot more with other fueling supporting mods, not sure if id want any more than 400bhp tbh in such a light car. Might be worth looking at a cheaper n/a ...

Re: 350bhp power option, what do you get?

Tge only way of me getting into one with a sequential would be a atom 3 or a 3.5. The Atom4 with a sequential would ve way out of budget for me unfortunately.

I struggle to understand how most of you had the patients to wait 2 years for a build, hats off!
