Snow n slide
It's been snowing here in Wales on and off since Christmas and since the local council now only grit A and larger B roads I decided to take the Nomad out for a spin. Turns out that was literally what I got. Light car, AT tyres, modest throttle and steering input and WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Anyone else been...

Re: Which type of brakes
I currently have a Nomad on standard brakes, it's fine but doesn't inspire huge confidence. I'm certain the sports pads will improve this a fair lump and it's a very cheap upgrade post fastory. I have driven a car with Alcons and they are significantly stronger but i would caveat i still think my no...

Re: Project Mudflap
I've also found material in 3mm thickness which should be lighter than the stuff i posted above but i'm concerned it'll deflect too much at higher speeds.

Re: Too much grip and not enough
Thanks all for the responses, they're really interesting to read. It doesn't sound like the switch to mud tyres will improve the stopping performance but i'm currently not on the the big brake setup either so my tactic is avoid the crash rather than hoping to stop... To be fair the mud's on our defe...

Too much grip and not enough
Having now owned my Nomad for a couple of months I can finally say it's starting to get under my skin. If I'm honest the first couple of trips out left me feeling a bit concerned i'd bought the wrong car. I was finding it difficult to judge on road, struggling to find places to stretch it's legs off...

Drivetrain history
I was pondering a post I saw about snapped driveshafts and mention of rover/mg parts. Nomads and I guess Atoms use an old rover PCD of 4x95.25. I'm guessing this means that there are some honda rover cross over parts including MGF oe callipers unless you have Alcons. Has anybody got firm knowledge o...
