Re: Skunkwurx Dash2 Pro Conversion AA2
How are you getting on? If the new switch is the issue, why not see if you can find a part number on it and see if there is a tech doc that you could match up with your old one? Failing that, you could alway keep the old button in place maybe too! Was the dash previously installed, I’ve heard that t...

Re: Skunkwurx Dash2 Pro Conversion AA2
Hi, The wiring for the indicators and hazards are linked, I had an issue with mine a year ago with similar results… Easiest way to troubleshoot… use your old hazard button (connect it) and make sure the indicators then work ok on the new dash. Once the indicators work normally, test the old hazard b...

Re: Calling Atom Owners!
Ha ha - you did well to hold out 9 years! It seems like a common theme amongst us that an experience day turns into a purchase!! I sometimes wonder if Ariel put something in the water…. I’ve had my car for 3 years and it still gives me the “fizz” every time I take it out, I only use mine on the road...

Re: Stick with 888Rs or ...
It gets pretty cold where I am but the car gets put away for the off season. Generally I buy 4 rears in a go (cheaper) then store a set from anywhere up to about 8 months off the car in regular cellar without issues. I don’t know how long tires generally last for but judging by the amount that get d...

Re: Stick with 888Rs or ...
I really like the A052's on my Atom 3 - They are pretty grippy in most conditions and let go very progressively when at their limit, the only slight annoyance is fairly rapid wear, but they are not too bad. Factor in replacing the rears twice to a pair of fronts and they are pretty good all round. T...

Re: Ancillary Silencer for trackdays
The original tips have been cut off and new sleeves welded into place that terminate in a flange. The bolt on silencer then clamps onto the flanges. The fabricator went down this route as he was concerned that the original tips would not hold up to the stress of having additional weight hang off th...

Re: Ancillary Silencer for trackdays
Nice - that's a pretty ingenious solution! Is the extra silencer held on by more than the v-band clamps around the existing tailpipes?

Lucky enough to get 102 Ron fuel locally here with 0% ethanol - you can definitely feel & smell the difference when running 97 or lower!

Re: 3.5 Aim Dash conversion
I’d guess it’s a factory fit, the Aim dash is Ariel branded so likely retrofitted by them - I remember seeing a thread where this was offered as an upgrade from them directly for older Atoms….. looks nice!

Oddly I haven't received one for ages, then following reading this and a brief return to looking around in the forum I got one delivered the next day. Maybe it's got something to do with the site's cookies somehow?

Re: "Normal" tyres ? No slicks etc.
Just thought I'd chime in, the A052's are the future! - The difference between them and regular tyres is literally like night and day, they are even pretty good in the wet. The only downside is they are pricey (here) and they wear pretty quickly, but that aside I don't think there is a better allrou...
