Re: Atom 4 fuel gauge
You can change the reset method on the old dash. I set mine up so I just had to push the select button twice

Re: Installing tunes in a Nomad
The wind noise at speed (above about 50mph) is loud enough that I'd recommend using hearing protection on any longer drives at which point you might as well use noise cancelling headphones. Can't recommend any NC headphones though as the only set I ever tried didn't work well for me (Sony Wf-1000xm3...

Re: New Project 3.5 360bhp
Later in September found a new chap who was recommended by the Honda garage next door to me to get the car remapped ,down to London on a Saturday morning To get it sorted Who did you use for the mapping? I've got a modified k20 and I think the map needs a bit more fettling so any recommendations wo...

Bad luck on the tyre but at least the wheel hasn't been damaged.
The car looks ace really like the panels and they match the ohlins well. I assume you'll be adding a top box of some form soon?

Re: What Harness?
I prefer the Sabelt 4 point that came fitted in my lotus when I bought it to the Willians but if I was buying new I'd get a Schroth ASM harness. There probably isn't much risk of submarining in the Ariel seats but it is worth spending a little bit extra to mitigate any risk IMO.

Karl V I didn't think you'd sell yours! I was considering putting mine up on CC given how well Nomads seem to be selling on there would be interested to hear how you have found them so far...

Re: Carlimits Driver Training
Mark (the instructor you'd get at carlimits if Walshy wasn't available) has started up a new business running similar days at the same location. http://drivelimits.com/ Walshy has also posted on a Lotus forums stating carlimits has been purchased by everyman racing so he may start running days again...

Re: Atom 4 - Build and Collection
I keep catching a bit of throttle under braking and with the turbo spinning you can feel the difference. Great for heel’n’toe, a bit concerning when you don’t expect it. If my old brain can’t remember to move by braking foot over, then I might look to see if there is a tweak. If the pedals are the ...

Re: Nomad on Collecting Cars
That is my perfect nomad - do I selly my n/a one and buy a s/c'd one hmmmmmmm Full disclosure I’m selling the yellow car on pistonheads but yes you should buy a s/c car (or get it fitted). I think with the long gearing and big tyres you need the s/c to make the Nomad the hooligan is should be. Reac...

Re: Nomad for sale collecting cars
Sadly time to sell as I only have a 2 car garage and there are other cars I'd like to own... Already thinking about putting a deposit down for whenever the 2 is released though

Re: Nomad Intercomms
Two downsides with the DG10: Not waterproof, and the wrongway around/upside down as designed for a LHD car. Yup DG10 is the way forward IMO. Have a look at this thread for more information/peoples views on it. I've made mine waterproof (details in the thread) and although you loose access to the bu...

Re: Db limit on track days
95dB is normally the drive-by limit at Anglesey with 105dB static. With a stock exhaust you shouldn't have an issue if the 95dB limit is the drive-by

Re: 3.5R side pod refurb
I'm also toying with the idea of a mesh insert ahead of the grill (LH pod in photo). Hoping it will be easier to wash out pigeons, pheasants and cow sh1t! The mesh you've pictured would severely restrict the air flow into the pods. Unless you can log the temps with and without it installed to make ...

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?
Sounds like the solenoid is not firing the bendix gear on the starter motor. This is usually solved by removing, cleaning and replacing the power supply to the starter motor. Sometimes 'grunge' has actually got into the bendix - in this case you will need to disconnect and remove the starter motor ...

Re: 5555 MILE Review
I'm not saying, and I cant say its slow, driving through a toll bridge over here in Spain in second gear, must be in 2nd gear as a standing start in 1st is a waste of time against any other car, and it will beat most cars out of the gates for the next 50 60 70 mph, but much after that and you are l...
