Atom 3 rev counter fault
I have the standard Spa analogue "kit dash" on my supercharged 3. The rev counter has a strange fault where it keeps dropping out after about 30 seconds of starting up the car. If I switch the ignition off and on again, it works again, but then stops. It does its start-up sweep OK and the ...

Re: Atom 4R HP limitations?
I believe the factory are offering up to c.500bhp, although that will include changing the internals and will be very costly. They offered an additional version of the 3.5R package that involved opening up the K20 - I believe it was quoted at 367bhp, vs 350bhp as standard and the factory admitted it...

Re: Calling Atom Owners!
A lot of people seem to buy Atoms in order to "scratch an itch" often because they saw Top Gear or because of an experience day and sell them within a year or even sooner. They don’t really depreciate, so the risk is minimal, hence so many having had multiple owners in a short period of ti...

Re: Front Wing Question
I believe they are made especially for Skunkwurx, so not available anywhere else. Have you tried emailing them at all? The owner used to be a frequent poster on here. For other possible wing options, the Ariel Club Facebook group is great for advice and info https://www.facebook.com/groups/ariel.club

Re: Helmet and gloves
Thanks for the tip re Gerbing, thought I’d try these out to see if they’re worth it… just had delivery today, got the jacket and the gloves, very impressed, just need to spend a little time making the cables neat! Make sure you get the helmet fitted, whichever one you go for. I have a Roof Boxxer, ...

Re: Helmet and gloves
Make sure you get the helmet fitted, whichever one you go for. I have a Roof Boxxer, because that's what the factory used to use, but they are quite noisy. Speaking of which, buy some ear protection too, or some noise cancelling ear buds - wind noise is a killer at speed. In terms of gloves, I'd rec...

Re: WANTED : Atom 3.5
No problem. The na Atom is still ballistically fast and more than adequate for road use, but once you've tried a supercharged car, it's difficult not to be tempted by the noise and the way it fires you towards the horizon with a banshee wail! I only use mine on road and I would really miss the super...

Re: WANTED : Atom 3.5
Welcome. Firstly, I would wait until the Spring when more cars will be advertised and so you will have more choice. Based on your criteria, my thoughts: £30k - You won't get a 3.5 for that £35k - A lower-spec non-supercharged 3.5, with 15k+ miles £40k - A lower-spec supercharged 3.5, with 25k+ miles...

Re: Keeping an Atom outside under a Cover
One thing you may want to check out is whether any insurance companies will even cover it if it isn't in a locked garage. All the quotes I have ever received have had this as a stipulation, even to the point that if it is left outside at my home address overnight, it isn't covered...
