Re: Second hand prices - need advice

Wow, those on Autotrader seem high prices. Good specs but still. Might pitch mine a little higher to 'the public', especially considering at that point I will probably have to deal with some total time wasters / test pilots!

Re: 2018 Nomad 245 For sale 5.1k miles

I’m putting it on pistonheads/autotrader in a couple of weeks but at a slightly higher price. Looking at what is on there right now they are ‘premium prices’ and I will aim to get as much as I can. At which point it will come off here.

2018 Nomad 245 For sale 5.1k miles

As some of you may be aware from my other post I am 'forced' to a certain degree to part with my Nomad. An accident in 2016 came close to me losing a leg and is now catching up with me; I need to move to an automatic and I am not happy about it :( The spec is: Standard Nomad 245 with road kit, black...

Re: Second hand prices - need advice

Cheers Phil, That's kind of where I am starting. The car is MINT so no issues down pricing for damage etc. I even got all the cage and suspension stone chip guarded. Has anyone got the current price list Excel document they can PM me? Mine is from 2017 (although using that as a guide might be the be...

Looking to sell my 2018 Nomad. Unfortunatly I came as close to loosing a leg in 2015 as I want to get and the injury is starting to catch up with me now to the point where I need an automatic soon. :(. The spec is: Standard Nomad with road kit. Raised Air Intake Oil cooler system Cat Bypass Pipe Alc...

Re: Standard toe-in angle for Nomad

For anyone looking for it:

Front 1.0mm toe OUT each side
Rear 3.0mm to 7.0mm (max) toe IN total.
Rear can be different each side to accommodate for the thrust line adjustment.

Steering wheel not straight.

My steering wheel isn’t straight; offset right by about 2 degrees. Nothing untoward on handling, just a slightly offset wheel and bloody irritating. Not had a major bumb. Not sure whether it coinsides with my last service (alignment check). Can I change the rack track rod ends by equal amounts to st...

Re: Low Level

It's pretty normal for an alternator to take a little time to start thowing current at the battery. Typically an alternator with chuck out about 13.5-14.5 volts. I think the warning may be reporting the alternator voltage and finding it 'too low' during the first few seconds (e.g. not charging). As ...

Neoprene rubber washers...

Hi,
Does anyone have a good source of the neoprene rubber washers used all over the Nomad (especially for side panels!)
As far as I can tell they are OD 15mm x ID 6mm x 3mm thick.

Looking all over for replacements and cant find that specification anywhere!

Re: Fitting your own winch

Hi, Good advice. I have no experience of winching (done it once!). I went with remote only because it's the more flexible option. If I was mud plugging and winching regularly then I would set up the switch for sure and I have made provision on the loom to add the dash switch at any point. This has b...

Fitting your own winch

I finally got round to fitting a winch to my Nomad. I'm heading off to pastures foreign next year (Covid permitting) and would like the opportunity of self recovery if the need arises. It is surprisingly easy once you do the due dilligence. Steve gave me the wiring diagram which was helpful, althoug...

You don't, by any chance, have any photos/write up of how you did this do you?
Sent you a PM :tu:
