Re: 5555 MILE Review

I have bought the NA version and had the same reaction as you, I was a bit deflated at the performance. I took it back for the SC and now it is the car it always should have been. I also have a range of wheels and tyres 18 with AD08, 18 with All terrain and 15 with Mud Slingers. All completely chang...

Re: Too much grip and not enough

I fully understand, I originally had mine with 15" at tyres but felt the steering was a bit heavy and vague, so opted for 18" with AD08. This transformed the car completely to being a lot more precise, but like you say less sideways, so then I tried 18" with at which is a good comprom...

Re: Searching questions from a nomadless wonderer

Hi, my spec started off with Ohlins and N/A with Alcon front and standard rears. Whilst I can't help with the suspension question I can help with the brakes. I upgraded almost immediately to a Supercharger as I felt the car wasn't what it needed to be without. Once this was upgraded and had the wife...

Re: What is the mark of a Nomad?

The only bad thing I had was I used to get headaches without ear protection or noise cancelling head phones. Other than that, seperation anxiety, contsantly wanting upgrades, sideways everywhere, aching jaws from smiling and laughing. Its a car that instantly turns any mature self respecting person ...

Re: Tyre grip

Hi karl, Yes the BFare 235/75 R15 and the 18" are 225/55 R 18. The 18" are much lighter and easier to turn even the A/T ones, as the 18" AD08 are lower profile they mean the car accelerates even faster. I remember when I upgraded to SC, such an amazing difference and makes the car wha...

Re: Tyre grip

Hi Karl, I have a mixture of sets, I originally had the 15" with Geolands which I found hard work and slightly wayward on the road (not so much oversteer as vague). I then got a set of 18" with the AD08's and these on the track and road are sublime, on the track they will eventually let go...

Re: Nomad skillz

@Karl V I am based in North Buckinghamshire south of Milton Keyenes. I found a local field that holds motorsport events and I am trying to get hold of the farmer to see if we could hire it for a nomad session for the day. I think it is about £150.00 for the day which to me sounds like a bargain. Che...

Re: Nomad skillz

Hi Karl, Dunny, Greame, Steve etc, Yes I am also very interested in this, the Nomad is incredibly as far as the limits I've reached but I fear PC plod is going to catch up with me soon, so something with a bit more run off and tuition would be very well received then I could drift all the way around...

Re: I tracked my Nomad

Hi Karl, yes I have tracked my Nomad 3 times now. 1 at the summer gas, and then twice since at Donnington. It was an absolute dream. I had the 18" wheels with the 08 tyres on it, SC and Ohlins. It compensated for my lack of talent and when I ran out of it, it just went sideways, pointed in the ...
