I used a 10.5mm, I used it on reverse setting to stop it biting too hard, for the smaller one, I just lightly pressed on an orbital sander for a minute to strip it down in size slightly. And yes detent springs.

Thanks both, I wasn’t aware the factory did this upgrade, did you add in the two springs too? I was surprised how easy it was to fit them, I had to reverse drill the smaller black one but ultimately not an issue. Seems to have made a noticeable difference on mine.
