Re: Minefield
If you drive an upgraded 3 on its own you won't be able to tell any difference. Drive a 3.5 and an upgraded 3 on the road and you won't be able to tell any difference. On the track its a different story. An experienced track driver will be able to tell the difference. An 'untouched' 3 drives complet...

Re: Minefield
As with any car buy on condition not age. You will get a really nice 3 within your budget, just stick to factory serviced cars and get them to look over it prior to purchase for complete peace of mind. Apart from the chassis, the 3 can be upgraded to 3.5 spec pretty easily. Sent from my ELE-L09 usi...

Re: Minefield
If the cars been maintained well there's nothing much really that goes wrong with the older cars. You can normally tell the 'tired' cars from the wear and tear but generally most atoms have low mileages compared to road cars. 2013 and below will probably be an atom 3. Newer than that will be an atom...

Re: Other Forums slanted towards the US
Nothing to do with that. The US chat forum was set up by a Bolus and a few other owners who used to post on here. Back in the day (and I suppose still now) there used to be some very passionate owners and a lot of heated debates used to happen generally between US owners who were happy to modify and...

Re: Mysterious dash backlight and right sidelights failure
The wiring circuit for the lights isn't complicated, you can see most of the wiring for the front if yiu take the nosecone olamd dash panel off. The front bulbs are halogen, not led. Have you tried removing the bulb or swapping it over with other side to make sure it's not popped and shorting the ci...

Re: Mysterious dash backlight and right sidelights failure
Just re-read your post. Fixing the led issue should fix the dash2 back-light, it's probably tapping off the signal after where the failure has occurred.

Re: Mysterious dash backlight and right sidelights failure
Is the back-light not working both with the headlamps on and headlamps off? The dash2 uses a signal from the headlamps to determine what the back-light should do. I cant recall the settings on the dash2 as we used the dash2 Pro in our dash and that has different settings, but on that you could set t...

Re: Atom 4 AIM dash reconfiguration
Thanks Alastair for offering your support :tu: I wonder if the gear indicator is larger for those with the sequential option fitted. Its tiny on the stock 4 layout. Really small. I will grab a pic sometime. :-\ https://www.skunkwurx.co/forum/sequential2.jpg That's the display on a sequential.

Re: Atom 4 AIM dash reconfiguration
The USB port is under the bonnet, AIM has a way to expose the USB via the wiring loom, so no need to take the dash apart to get to it. Simon can you just stick a picture up of where it is? I just had a quick look and can't see anything, only the USB charging points. The AIM dash has two connector c...

Re: Ariel Nomad 'NO05MAD' private number plate
'Nomad' style plate suitable for the amazing Ariel Nomad. Was looking to buy and keep for my own Nomad but cannot afford it now. Currently held on retention. If you buy it now, I am happy for the transfer to be done face to face. Price includes £80 transfer fee. Have had ebay based offers of £4,500...

Re: Atom 4 AIM dash reconfiguration
No the method I used doesn't involve needing the unlock key. I'll have a look tomorrow, I didn't even think of checking anywhere else.
