I've never understood upgrading just the fronts to Alcon. The Atom unusually does as much stopping via the rears as the fronts on Alcons all round.

I think I've got the bias bar pretty much spot on.

But for peace of mind. Could someone with an Atom 2 with Alcons upfront and sports at the rear post a pic of their bias bar.

Would be much appreciated

Cheers

Andy

Atomicandy,

dont use those shims anywhere - they are not required.

My guess is they go between the calliper and the mounts.

Shimming between caliper/mount if more clearance required makes sense

It's extra money for red plus an 8 week turn around

Nope not for the mounts to the uprights. These come in a separate bag of bolts.
The ones pictures come with the calliper bolts. My guess is they go between the calliper and the mounts.
I'll give Ariel a bell in the morning

The kit is around £1500

Atomicandy,

You will need to change the master cylinder as suggested by the others in the thread.

If you order the brake upgrade from us at the factory, you will get all the necessary, brakets fittings and fixings - including the new master cylinder in with the kit.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  :tu:

I'm guessing they are for the bolts securing the mount to the upright. Does the kit come with new mounts or are the sports caliper mounts re-used?

Perhaps it's like Ikea, there's always a bag of bits left over when you have finished,    Or perhaps not !!!

Can anyone give me a hand

These are the calliper bolts. I know where the small washer goes but not too sure about the large washers. They are quite thin and there is 8 of them

Any help appreciated
