I ordered 4 point 3" saloon club harnesses in green but they only have 2" in green so they did 6 point 2" for the same price for me. Very pleased with them as they not only look good and compliment the car but are easier to get into than the standard 2" supersport harnesses and more comfortable to wear than the 3" belts (I fitted orange 3" in my Atom 2). Just need to fit the crotch straps yet

Not a bad shout about a third seat, save any argument about which kid to take out  ;D

If you want to fit the anti-rattle grommets to the lap eye bolts as well as shoulder then I recommend these extenders to give the lap and anti-sub each their own eye. Smokin  recommended.

All 12!!

Have you somehow got a third seat fitted?  :roflp:

Personally I've only got 8 ring bolts for seatbelts fitted to my Atom  :wize:

Ah. Washing up liquid to help those little buggers go in. I will try that thanks

Just fitted two grommets so far and putting off the day for the others because theyve been so difficult

My two-penneth ....

If you need to take the bench seat out then it's handy having clipped harnesses, especially the 4 point ones as both ends of each section go though apertures in the seat.
Likewise, when washing the car, removing them is advisable as they take an age to dry.

R-Man

I have 2 colour schemes for my Atom (Porsche Riviera Blue & Pillarbox Red) and have acquired two sets of Willans 3" harnesses to match - so I just clip/unclip the the harness to match the scheme whenever I change the panels.

To have to bolt/unbolt the fittings each time would be a real pain!!

I have seen and read the topics on grommets before but just curious why the ends of the harnesses are not just bolted in place. No rattling and looks better and dare I say perhaps lighter.

They work well
Just need soap

I also have fitted these Neoprene Grommets - Part No. 13mm/PT 5mm DA13017050-1

They are a b****y pain to fit (a smidgin of washing up liquid helps) - but once fitted they are brilliant - no more rattling just blissful silence!

You can obtain a set from :

Please note that it is much cheaper to buy a pack of 10 rather than 8 individually!

Rocket Man, you can eliminate the rattles by buying a set of rubber grommets to fit into the harness points on the chassis. There is a thread somewhere for it. I have them and they are superb.

I was thinking of buying a nice new pair of 3" green Willans harnesses (to match the standard Atom green). It looks like the saloon club 4x4 ones are right for the car as I fitted in the Aton 2 (orange) I had a few years ago.
My question revolves around the fixing points. The standard Ariel fixings are eye bolt and a noisy rattling clip that people complain about. As I am about to buy new ones I was curious if anyone had just got belts with fastening bolts as you would have in a conventional car and as the style Willans supply for Caterham. This would be a custom feature but there appears to be various belts that they supply like this.
Is there a particular reason that clip in belts are used, its not like we clip them in and out on a regular basis.
