Back on the market, after two very strange enquiries.

Last September, Steve popped in after picking up the car. Pictures don't do this car justice. In the flesh it's a stunning colour combination.

Don't blame you bumping, brilliant machine Steve. Unfortunately, not in the market for one.

Can’t believe this is still on the market! It’s gorgeous!
If I hadn’t gone for the Nomad R I’d be very tempted indeed!!

Bumping this up, after some half-hearted interest.

I blame the Ariel wing mirrors.

This car has an excellent spec and Steve really looks after his cars. He's been Atomised longer than any other owner and apart from sodding off at the occasional petrol station leaving us lost in France, he's a thoroughly nice bloke!
Joking aside, anyone considering buying a new Atom should bite his hand off, it looks fantastic in the flesh.

Cheers,
Stu

If I look at my last three Atoms, well-specified for their intended use, they increased in price by roughly inflation. If you combine that increase with a longer options list, with some juicy items on it, it will naturally push an Atom 4 purchase price into £60k+. More if you add big options like the flappy paddles.

Given most new buyers want exactly the car they want, they option it heavily. Simple as that.

A perfectly good, new Atom 4 can be had for £55-£60k.

Properly spec-ed Golf R is 50k, M4 is 85-90k, Porsche GT4 is 90-100k, Caterham 620R is 60k. Unfortunately as we are getting older things seem a lot more expensive than they use too.
When Porsche released the 997 GT3 it was 80k in 2007, a spec-ed around 85k, now they are 150k spec-ed, an Supercharged Atom was around 35-40k?, now most Atom 4’s are 60-70k.
They seem a fair price.
Sorry to off topic OP.

Plenty of porsche and ferrari etc all of which are a lot more practical as the early adopters of the car 'mature'.

And that 46k would have been a higher spec model. Higher spec 4s are easily going in to 80k territory.

Not to mention the prices are creeping towards supercar territory which then opens up a while load of other options too.
Not with you on that. My old 3.5 was 46K 6 years ago. Not sure what supercars are available for 50-70K, and it's a given that all of them are going to throw up big bills compared to the relatively low running costs of the Atom.

Anyway. Looks like a good car GLWS.
