Hello,

I am still searching for a LHD Atom 2 or 3.

I would trade my original 1993 Hummer H1 4 seater Wagon with maggiolina roof tent, winch, new spare tire carrier, aluminium rims, tow hitch, CTIS.
The H1 is the real deal, just 36000mls on the tacho. New tyres, ball joints and tie rod ends. New geared hub seals.

6.2l Diesel engine, 3 speed TH400 automatic gearbox.

Registered in germany.

I am asking 46.500 euro for the H1.

Tom said sometime back that approx 100 were built with 30 of those exported to Japan never to see the light of day again?

I think there were 3 engine variants 120, 160 and 190 bhp Rover K Series in both 1.6 and 1.8 litres.

Need Ben and/or Bruce and Steve to confirm as they were all early adopters ..

I think 100 is a bit optimistic...

140 / 165 / 190 depending on Powertrain Projects state of tune of the K series 1.8.

I'm on my second starter motor in my 2/220, (most recently last autumn) and this current one isn't stock and is MUCH better.

In that particular case, if it was noticed that the starter was getting a bit lazy or noisy and it was replaced at service before it actually failed to start the car, then that would be ok .. and in my view, after 12 years use, normal wear and tear.

If it suddenly just stopped functioning then it would be fair to call it a failure.

It sounds like a good Atom 1 and a bit of a collector's item !

While I get that... at what point does wear become a failure when the car is 12 years old?

I had typed a long reply, but as it's all open to interpretation and view point, it's pretty irrelevant :)

wear and tear is not normally classified as a fault !

"Never had any mechanical faults with the car"

"The car has just had a full service," ... "and a new starter motor."

???

Ask here for registration http://www.rhd-speedmaster.com/
or give chris a call +49 [0] 160 - 63 86 004
I think it's no problem with the engine.

PS: Maybe the ebay seller go back to 18k if you ask nicely why he add 3k for nothing ;D
