One of the best sights ever. Michelle Mouton in the SWB 80 Quattro, 1984, Manx International giving it large through Tholt y Will. Never forget it.
Isle of Man - now there is a destination for an Atom tour?
That Group B video is spine tingling - had not seen so thanks Tom

It would be good, I'll see what I can do ..

Vids were great, we forget how video technology has matured!

For me the sound of the Lancia Stratos bouncing off the trees on approach is pretty unbeatable.

I bought a Chevette HS 2300 and fitted a full roll cage, bilstein gas suspension, uprated top mounts, sump guard, Cibie and did club road rallies in it. Then sold it to a friend as I was going to Kuwait on a 2 year contract.

He swapped out the cams and fitted dual twin choke dellortos to replace the pair of weak-looking Strombergs (fancy SU copies). Whilst out there, I nearly ordered an XR3 (for UK use), but swapped it for a Sunbeam Lotus (black/silver). The joys of a tax-free income!
phew!

Sold that on my return along with my left hand drive Datsun 280Z targa top which I shipped back from Kuwait, to get married!

Ah nostalgia - aint what it used to be ..!

I am a big fan of the Group B cars - there is a museum in Brittany called Loheac that has the full selection of Group B cars with Peugeot T16, Renault Maxi Turbo, Lancia Delta, Metro 6R4 etc etc - highlight of my visit there and well worth a stop if you are near.

That museum is great, a few of us went there in 2009 by Atom and I concur well worth a stop.  They would not let us go on the circuit mind you.

Now there's a plan !!

Sounds good - why not organise it for the same day as the Wedding thread? They're both in the same general direction.

Midday surrounded by bridesmaids, afternoon rally cars - with a cross-country drive between; what more does a man need?
