"for sale" makes sense - chap driving it was an older guy in a race suit and had a scrawny welsh bloke with him - he had a very strong accent but I thought he said he'd bought it - odd if he had as didn't see him on track behind the wheel

Ah well each to their own -£25k seems a lot as it did look very much like a piece of farm machinery - quick but rough round the edges

That red one was for sale on Pistonheads a few weeks back under the title 'Atom-like'. He wanted over £25k for it if i remember rightly.

Interesting steering rack he had on it. How many turns lock to lock?

The one at Combe is on this

I think it's different to those shown- certainly a lot more ugly and that's saying something - rather illustrated by fact I had a queue and took out 14 punters and the other car whilst termed "atom like" ran empty !!

Reminds me of the "before" Professors Potts Chitty Chitty BangBang. You know when the kids are playing with it in the field in front of the garage. That car needs to be taken into the shed and rehabilitated into something of substance. Sadly I think that is about as far along as it'll get and tarnish the image of what it's copying.

Was one a bit like that at castle Combe on sat - bike engined and running on slicks - it was quick if ugly - external frame with what looked like carbon panels for bonnet and along the sides - commendable bit of spannering but to my eye pig ugly - havnt seen any snaps posted up so far so others seem to have taken the same view

In Liverpool parlance

Hez havin a laff.... :roflp:

However good effort... and maybe he is a "real" enthusiast!! just with no money! IF I came into big win - Think I would take a film crew there and present him with a real one! that would make some great watching now wouldn't it :tu:

On the proviso he cuts the Other one in small bits.......
