I don't know if anyone has done a search on the forum about Dyno days, but if they do, they'll find quite a lot of 'lively discussion'.
To restate a very long held view, Dyno's are only good for making improvements to unique and individual engine outputs and power shapes. What you should NEVER NEVER NEVER use them for is to measure the absolute output of an engine and then compare it to other engines or manufacturers specifications. If you do, you will get upset.
Reasons: Different measuring equipment set up in different ways at different altitudes and in different weather conditions with different wheels and tyres on different ages of engine... and we haven't even got to the algorithm that converts wheel output to crank output...
