CANNONBALL 8000

Mayor Receives 50,000 Kuna to Support Rally

At Sundayâ??s rally residents of Zagreb will be able to see attractive Lamborghinis, Aston martins, Rolls Royceâ??s, Maseratis and Ariel Atom.

Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic received a cheque for 50,000 kuna from Conrad Wall as a sign of thanks for hosting the glamorous Cannonball 8000 rally that will take place in Croatiaâ??s capital on Sunday.

Amateur drivers in 130 cars will on Sunday start arriving at the Ante Starcevic Square from 16:00 hours to 19:00 hours as part of the leading European humanitarian rally.

The famous driver Mario Andretti will also be a guest of Zagreb, who is this yearâ??s global ambassador of the Cannonball 8000 rally.

Residents of Zagreb will be able to see attractive Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Rolls Royceâ??s, Maseratis and even the little Ariel Atom. Their arrival will mark the end of the three-day tour of drivers from London to Zagreb.

The Cannonball 8000 is taking place in cooperation with the Baby Lifeline humanitarian organisation. Drivers will collect funds for those who need it most. Last year more than two million British pounds were collected in the action.
