One month after, it's not so simple :(

It seems that my loom is faulty, not the sensor.
I guess the sensor swapping resolved the issue for a moment since we touched the loom.

I will try to fix the loom or swap it (i have a spare K20A2 full wiring loom, and it seems that Ariel did not modify that loom, so i should try to swap it).

I had troubles since a month with the engine misfiring at high load/rpm, and going fine after,

so i began by changing the spark plugs : same problem
then, i realised a was low on fuel, so i topped, and same problem,

then, i changed the fuel filter : same problem

And a week after, the problem was more present, it was sometimes putting the car in error mode, no power, no revs : i had to switch off/switch on and if was running fine, for a few minutes, ...

So i decided to change the 4 coils (i have a spare K20a2 engine, so easy to swap parts/sensors) : same problem

I swapped the Map sensor : same problem

I swapped the throttle position sensor : same problem

>:(

So i decided to install the OBD kit i bought a month ago (i should have begin with this...), it was very easy (a 30min job).

And the OBD told me that the crank position sensor was faulty, so i swapped it :

The engine is now running perfectly  :tu:

The lesson here is to install the OBD kit before trying to change all engine sensors  ;D

A few upgrades :

Fog + plate lighting (still missing the reverse light, and a 3rd brake light) :

It's a Led rain light, that i use as fog light, with a small led plate lighting hidden under.

____________

Also, i needed an iPhone support to have Nav and speed controls alerts, so i draw one with Autodesk Fusion, 3D printed 4 or 5 times to have the perfect fitment, and :

Just slide it in, and it does not move : perfect  ;)

I have one of those, too. And a BMW one as well. And an Aerostitch one. And a cheap plastic one.I think I have too many...

Hi fitted a passenger footrest today : i had a VX220 spare footrest, the design is fine with the atom, so i bolted it on the floor, that's perfect :

And after that, i changed my rear lighting, from this :

So, I had to cut the original brackets :

And then, 3D Print adapters for the LED lighting i bought :

And ready to mount on the car :

And that's it :

I'm now waiting for a new support for the plate, to fit the new fog/plate led lighting.

Can't say that I have any problems with 'leakage' at speed with the jacket and trousers I bought from The Mountain Warehouse!

I have been out (inadvertently I may add!) in a full blown thunderstorm with both torrential rain & hail that lasted nearly 2 hours (it was traveling with me!!) when driving from Newbury to Enfield via the M4/M25 motorways 18 months or so ago - all the while traveling at 'best speed' for the conditions and happily I remained completely bone dry while wearing the ski jacket and waterproof lined trousers - the conditions were so bad that my helmet steamed up despite the pinlock so I was forced to 'crack' the visor slightly to provide some extra airflow which meant that a small amount of rain made it's way in to my lower face/neck.

Traveling as Sir Nick's passenger on the D-Day Beaches tour last year I also had occasion to use this wet weather gear in anger, although on that occasion the rain was rather lighter & more intermittent - however, once again, I remained both warm & dry - the speeds were higher though!  ;D :tu:

I was thinking to buy a One piece "light" rain suit for motorbike (one i can fit in the small trunk), that's cheap  :tu:

et bien tu n'as pas perdu de temps !! :tu:
