Yep, seen pics of the orange one. Thought for a sec your picts were the same vehicle at first.

Unfortunately this Belgian orange Atom has just been totalled.

Everyone says how much better the Brammo nosecone looks, as it's all moulded in one piece, but I don't think that would work as well with your colour scheme because the nostrils in black look really good.  :tu:

Yes Simon & Tom were initially concerned that the finish of the panels designed to be a flat black colour wouldn't come out of the moulds in a high enough standard as the moulds' surface for these panels are not polished to give a gloss finish.

The guys at the mould shop shop did their magic however, and the finish turned out great, in a contrasting surface finish that sets off the gloss panels; as the photos show.

They did an all orange Atom, destined for Belgium, at the same time as mine and the finish on that was also excellent.  However, the worry of it gave Tom grey hairs and he said they'd only do another for a hefty premium!

Simon himself discussed paint schemes  at AtomFest. He said there's been several they thought would never work and after it was all said and done turned out really good. On paper not so good, in the flesh :tu: . I think he may've been talking about this one.

Thanks Bolus - that's certainly the stated opinion of all those who've had the chance to drool over it close-up - it stands out from the crowd in any case, just by being an Atom, but the all in one colour has attracted many compliments, and the finish Ariel achieved is brilliant.
