The trick is to trust it. It does seem to jump about, but if you leave it to its own devices to some extent (obviously not completely) it does keep pretty straight. You'll find if you let the pink back into the white knuckles, it will go where you want it to...

Yeah, it's really the way they are, my Mark 2 is better than my Mark 1 was, but they're both a bit of a handful on bumpy lanes - not really the Atom's ideal habitat to be honest.

Cheers, Ross.

PS.  softening off the shocks as much as possible may help a little.

She is a bit skittish on the front end at speed on our local country lanes. She seems to want to folow any irregularities or tramlines in the road.

she does tramline a bit, on the track you don't feel that at all.
With normal tyres on the front i didn't seem to get that problem
I nearly put Dunlop r's on the back and normal road tyres on the front
Tyre presures and suspension is perfect
You could adjust camber/toe etc to make it less twitchy, but i've already done that quite a bit.
With semi slicks on i think thats just how it is.
Enjoy

Well done James. Was wondering when we'd hear from you.

Hope despite the rain you kept dry? I guess you felt like you were in a goldfish bowl at times - always good to hear what a head turning experience it is.

Arrived back home safely in MY Atom!

Journey was a real baptism of fire. Horrendous traffic and torrential rain most of the way!

Did get a few opportunities to open her up though! Very quick and lots of lovely noise!

She is a bit skittish on the front end at speed on our local country lanes. She seems to want to folow any irregularities or tramlines in the road.

Could this be because the suspension is set too hard or the tyres have too much pressure (16 lbs)?

Steering is very light and very sensitive.

Any advice?

I am very pleased with her and look forward to joining in all the group fun now that I am suitably equipped!

Yes! Just about. Have had a very busy week or two work wise. Bloody HSE amongst other things!

Did not have a reply to the personal e-mail I sent you. I will give you a call.

Can't get a word in egeways on the forum due to Atomfun multiple postings now he is a hero member with all those stars!

I note the quantity of his posting has gone up but the quality has gone down ;D

James! Sorry you are having to sell her. I would buy it like a shot but mine should be ready by end of December.

Buy James's and sell your place in the queue!
